I recently spent a week in Wyoming at the beautiful PowderHorn Ranch near Douglas, WY. I went there with the idea to photograph horses. And I did photograph horses! Lots of horses!
At the Ranch we started everyday long before sunrise and we went out to some of the most beautiful shooting locations. I'm always impressed with the wide open spaces there are to shoot out west. You don't have to search for a clear area to shoot and no struggling to delete unwanted backgrounds from my photos. The backgrounds are what I want in my photos! The mountains have such a soft color in the early morning and evening light. The saying of "purple mountains majesty" does hold true.
