I have been reading a lot about branding your products and how you should create a recognizable product. I really don't know how I can do that when I don't just shoot one subject.
My main love is horses. Horses have been my life and I love to photograph them and show their beauty. To me there is nothing more fascinating than watching a horse work and move. Beauty, grace and strength are just a few of the words that come to mind. I can totally lose myself when I have a camera in my hand and a horse in front of me. But that is only one love.
I also love birds, any kind of bird. I have to admit eagles and birds of prey are close to the top. As well as hummingbirds, bluebirds, cardinals.... and the list goes on and on. I was once called a "bird" photographer by someone who said it in a way that it was meant as a put down, but what they didn't know is that was a huge compliment to me. lol I pride myself on being able to catch birds in flight and in their natural settings, showing their habits and personalities. It may not always be the pretty side of them, but it is the honest personality of the bird.
I also watch the skies for any types of weather. The sky always amazes me with its colorful displays. Storms to me are the most beautiful works of nature. I'm the one who is always heading out the door when the storms are coming. The sheer power and beauty.... I can sit all day or night and just watch storms roll by.
Nature and Landscapes, Macro photography, flowers and fauna, night photography and long exposures. I can never just pick on thing to photograph. So when you see my photography you never know what you will see. Because unless I'm leaving to work for someone I never know what I will shoot when I walk out the door. But thats why I love what I do. I can always find something beautiful to shoot. I guess I just have to figure out a way to brand that! :)
